the wind doth blow

there was an orchestra playing outside today.  it rustled, creaked, groaned, tinkled, shook, and finally blew a flock of chickadees hither and thither with the force of its crescendo.  the wind conducted the event, and the pines, spruces, birches, tulip poplars, locusts, hickories, apples, creek, and pond were the performers.  i could only capture the sight of what the wind was doing visibly with the help of the water in the pond.  you can see what it was like before a gust, just at the beginning of a gale, and then the finale:

before the wind
with a little wind
blow wind blow
